For the Pottery Barn section I actually combined the emails from Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids. I did so if only to show how they have a consistent brand image across multiple markets. I am also glad to roll out this topic as the range of industrties covered thus far in the Brands sections is very diverse, and yet there are some clear common approachs.
It seems that every brand establishes a set of guidlines to design within. Fonts, colors, image styles etc. These create an overall look and feel for the brand. Then several templates are generated to acomidate the desiered message. Perhaps this is overly obvious stuff to those working heavily in this niche of the business. I however, am more of a casual observer and have only dabled in the design and development of html emails. As such, I find it interesting to discover the methods of those working in the field.
