Welcome back for part 2 of the sports section. I am pleased to include some emails from my home town hockey team. It is no surprise that the readers of these blasts are passionate consumers and these emails clearly play into this. Each blast is like a little dose of patriotism for that particular team. As a result these have strong usage of colors and imagery associated with the teams. This is a bit of a no brainier I suppose. What I think is interesting is to consider how we can apply the principals of a fan base to more fringe topics like a production line. Why not approach the sales of a product line to email subscribers in such a way that it addresses their passion for your product.
